Sharing our Story

After everything that happened on Wednesday we thought it would be a good idea to call the blind manufacturer. Stephen got on the phone with customer service and told them about Aden, they transferred him to the person who handles those "issues" and luckily this guy was very compassionate to our situation. He listened to the details of the event and asked if they could replace the blinds with some cordless ones. We thought that was very nice, but didn't expect anything, we just wanted to be sure and report it so they had record of this happening. He went on to tell us that most people don't report these type of accidents so it helps with their safety warnings when they do hear of these things. We finished up the call and thought that was it. Well, the following day he called back and told us that he would like to replace all our blinds and to just go to their website, pick out the style and color that we'd like and he would have them custom made and shipped to our home address. He also asked if we would be willing to share our story with their Retailers for their Safety Awareness Month in October. We were so thrilled and of course expressed that. We hope that more awareness will equal less accidents. It's so great when you talk to someone like this gentlemen, it just reassures you that there really are some nice people left in this world.
