Ashton's Checkup

We've got a new pediatrician for Ashton and he is great. We've been to the Dr every week since birth due to some circumcision complications. We just went to his 3 week appointment and everything is looking great. Ashton has gained a little bit of weight and is now at 7lbs 3ozs and has grown 1 3/4" which is a lot apparently! He is only in the 10% for his weight and in the 50% for his length. He is pretty much in line with his two older brothers, so it looks like we are going to have some tall and skinny kiddos.

We've all adjusted well with the addition and Ashton is sleeping really well. He went 6 and 7 hours straight 2 nights in a row!! I even slept the whole time, but had to do a double take at the clock and count the hours, both nights. Most of the time he only goes about 4-5 hours until he's ready to eat again. I'm sure some people are reading this with a "GASP" but that's ok. With #3, it's on demand!! Ashton tells me when he needs something and that's no joke either. We have awake time in the evenings so that Asher and Aden can sit and talk with him. It's pretty sweet. Aden has been trying to show Ashton how to High-5. Asher has been singing lullaby's and calls Ashton "little froggy" and rarely by his name.

Stephen was out of town Sunday through Wednesday (today) which was the first time since Ashton's birth. I know that I can not compare it to being a single parent, but when it's just you.....it's just you! I didn't get much done besides the normal picking up. Of course the boys take naps and I was so looking forward to that. Except those were the times that Ashton would be awake for feedings. Bedtime was a little bit earlier for those 3 nights!

The little sleeping angel!

Where has the time gone?!

We wanted to give everyone an update on what's been going on around the Yearout's house lately. We actively started getting our house ready to sell about 1 month ago. We've done so much, it's unbelievable at times. We had painters here for almost 3 weeks, which was difficult. Luckily we were staying out at the Farm most of the time, thank goodness, and the boys loved every minute of that! The painters were "officially" done on Thursday and we have been going non-stop ever since to get the house put back in order and cleaned up. We've packed everything that isn't a necessity and have a lot of the excess furniture moved out, so the house is staged quite nicely. We're listed on the MLS, but no interior photos are on there yet. We are having those taken today by Remax. It's been quite trying at times, but we are lucky to have family here helping out! I had no idea how much time it would take to do everything.....I'm completely worn out to say the least. We hope that the house sells quickly as we continue our search for the new house.

7 1/2 Month Checkup

Dr says everything is on target. Weight, measurements and blood pressure were all normal. Baby's heartbeat was 150bpm. He's been all over the place doing his "yoga stretching" and getting the hiccups almost daily. It's fun for Asher and Aden to talk to the baby. Asher felt him moving around and that raised a lot of questions. It was cute.

On 3 different occasions this week, Aden decided to climb out of his crib! He was able to do it so carefully that he didn't make a noise, so I had no idea. Luckily I have Asher the "tattle tale" who yells for me when Aden does something wrong. Of course I laughed after the fact and when the boys couldn't see or hear me. I guess Aden needs to be moved to a big boy bed before he hurts himself. It's been nice keeping the boys in cribs, I guess it's time!

And lastly, we have a realtor coming to talk with us on Friday. I had a great phone interview with him and he seems like he will be easy to work with. We have a few options that we would like to discuss about our current house, so we'll see how it goes. The market is looking pretty good here and the houses in our area are selling almost as quickly as they are listed. I've been watching pretty closely and we have the potential of finding a house and moving rather quickly! We'll keep everyone posted.

Happy Birthday Aunt Mel

We celebrated Melissa's 40th Birthday on Saturday night at Fogo de Chao. We had a great time surprising her and it was a lot of fun. Here's a cute picture of her and Asher together.

We've been scheduled!

It's finally official! The Dr's office called to let me know that I am on the schedule at Allen Presbyterian for July 31st at 9:00AM. We are really excited about it and now we'll be able to plan for my Dad to come in town as well.

7 Month Checkup

Everything is checking out good! Also had my Glocose Test today. Fun stuff. I had the boys with me and they did great once again. Since I had to get my blood drawn Dr Tricia sent the lab technician to the exam room. That made things a lot easier. She was really friendly with the boys and let Asher be her helper when putting the bandaid on. He loved it! After the Dr we went to have lunch with Aunt Mel and by chance Nana & Papa were also in Plano at that time. So we had a nice family lunch at Saltgrass. Asher and Aden were especially excited to wear their Jr Sheriff Sticker Badge! I'm back at the Dr every 2 weeks now.

6 Month Checkup

My Dr visit went well, although I did gain 3 pounds. I think it was from all the eating out while we were out of town. Getting back into a routine and home cooking will hopefully level those pounds out! The baby is doing great and we are tentatively scheduled to deliver on July 29th. I go back to the Dr in 4 weeks for my next checkup and for my Glucose Test. I hope that it comes back normal this time with no worry for Gestational Diabetes. We'll see.

Our San Antonio Trip

We were in SA over the weekend and took the boys to Sea World and also went to the Wildlife Ranch! We all had a great time and really enjoyed all the attractions. We were able to meet up with some friends on Friday night as well as spend Saturday with them at Sea World. Saturday night we made time to stop by and see my cousin Kelly, Andy and little baby Drew. What a precious baby boy they have! Asher and Aden were curious to say the least. Aden was surprisingly gentle which gave me hope that he will be ok when his little brother arrives. When we arrived at Kelly's and Asher saw Melissa, Cody and Stacy he was excited. The boys settled in and were comfortable in no time. It was a nice visit and I'm glad we were able to hang out for a bit. We drove through downtown on Friday night, which was beautiful. It was all lit up and Asher liked seeing all the buildings. We also went by the Alamo. It was such a sight with all the lights on the building. When we were driving through Austin I was telling Asher that the University of Texas was in that city. He wanted to stop and asked Stephen if we could go onto the football field. It was cute. We decided to drive back through on Sunday and he loved it. There were lots of burnt orange shirts walking all over campus since the basketball game was just about over at that time. Asher's window was rolled down and he was singing The Eyes of Texas and screaming "Hook em Horns" out the window. It was hilarious!! It was so awesome to see him that excited. We hope you enjoy the pictures!
At Dolphin Cove the boys were laying on the pool wall sticking their hands in the water hoping for a dolphin to come up.

This was in the Shark Reef. There were 3 sharks laying on these rocks, apparently they were sleeping.
Asher's "no teeth" smile......

Aden was watching the Beluga Whales and absolutely loved it!

We were just entering the Wildlife Ranch. You stay in your car to drive through, but you are able to feed the animals. It was fun, the boys liked it a lot.

This guy was standing right next to Asher's window and he was loving it. I was giving him some feed to throw out for the animals.

This was about 1 foot from my face! Stephen had the window locked so I wasn't able to roll it up. Right before this we encountered an Ostrich that decided to stick his head into the driver window and he was nipping at Stephen. Asher was not happy about this at all and was yelling at Stephen. He did not want his window down for the rest of the ride. We couldn't help but laugh!

This is a White Emu. Aden loved these birds and was screaming and kicking his feet with excitement! Asher on the other hand was not happy until we got past all the animals that could come up to your car!

At the end of the Ranch there was this little petting zoo. It took some convincing at first for Asher to want to get out and see the baby animals. Aden was all for it from the get go! He's not scared of anything.

The Sonogram results are in

Drum Roll......It's a boy! We are very excited to finally know! The baby looks great and is right on schedule with his growth. He was all over the place and it made me laugh watching him. It's great to see on screen what you've been feeling. So, I guess I will be getting out all the boy infant clothes little by little so it's all ready for him. We haven't picked out any names yet, that's our next step. My next visit (6 months!) is in 2 weeks! It's really going by fast. Until then......

Dallas Zoo

We went to the zoo on Saturday and the boys had a great time! It was perfect weather too, about 65 degrees for the high, absolutely beautiful! Here are some photos we took.

5 Month Checkup

I went to the Dr on Monday and everything checked out great. Baby's heartbeat was 159 bpm and I'm beginning to feel a lot more movement. I've been feeling really good and I've only gained 4 pounds!! I gained 8 pounds with Aden, so hopefully it will be the same this time around. That would be a nice trend to set! Next appointment is on March 19th for the sonogram. We're really looking forward to finding out if we're having another boy or if it's a girl. We'll let everyone know as soon as we get home from the appointment!!

Aden's 2nd Birthday

Aden was excited.....Bath Toys!!

Oh wow - Toys for playing outside in the dirt and some
awesome sidewalk chalk!!

This was cute - we have the same expression! A bubble machine, what fun!

A new piano, what a hit, plus it has a microphone. Asher will sing while Aden plays a song! It's a hoot to watch.

And a Xylophone too......lots of music making going on!!

Asher and Aden both got cool microphones (good thinking Nana & Papa). These kids are not shy or anything....

Like I said.....nothing shy about these guys!

Aden was pretty tickled when we were singing to him.

And of course, the clap at the end of the song!!

I didn't even bother giving him a fork.....what would have been the point, right?!

4 Month Checkup

It's the beginning of my second trimester and I really feel great. I had a doctor visit today and was able to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time. It was 139 bpm and such a wonderful sound! Asher and Aden were with me looking on while the nurse had the doppler. She was very sweet talking with Asher and telling him what to listen for. Aden didn't seem to care too much, he was sitting in his stroller watching Nickelodeon. It was a very easy appointment and I was glad the boys did well. Of course, Asher had to talk Dr Tricia's ear off when she came in, but she was loving it and was happy to see the boys. She is the same doctor that delivered them both. Next appointment in another 4 weeks. Our ultrasound to find out the sex of the baby is scheduled for March 19th! I'm really looking forward to it.

We had a nice lunch with Aunt Mel before the appointment and at Asher's request we had Chinese Food. It was yummy!

Sonogram Pictures

These are from the sonogram we had on January 4th. I know it took a while.....sorry for the delay with the post. You can click on the photo to enlarge.

Here's the little bean baby!
If you look at the top left you can see the baby's foot sticking up!
This has to be the most AWESOME picture! I am still in shock that at 9 weeks we were able to see this much detail in the baby's profile. Foot is still sticking up in the left top corner and to the right you can see the head, nose, ear and eye socket. I've found myself referring to the baby as "He" and of course so has Stephen. The boys are just saying baby for now, not brother or sister. Asher and Aden both are very sweet and will come over and "talk" to the baby. They think the baby can hear through the belly button. PRICELESS!!
