School Days

Asher's 1st day of School
We've got two months of home school down and Asher is doing really great. We did a fast track review of Kindergarten during the month of August so we could move onto 1st Grade in September. Asher is now completing one assignment per day on United States, The World Countries, Reading Readiness, Phonics, Addition, Subtraction, Penmanship and Bible Study. He is pretty amazing and catching on really quickly. He gets frustrated with his penmanship assignments, but is really enjoying learning about the States and Countries. He's shown real excitement with his Math assignments, which makes me proud! Aden started Kindergarten in September as well. I've had to take a little bit different approach with him though. A lot of coloring and a little bit of Beginning Sounds worksheets. He's trying to write his alphabet and his name which is pretty impressive for a 3 1/2 year old! They both enjoy their school time, Asher sits at his desk and Aden sits at the table. We have to get creative sometimes with the flash cards to accommodate Ashton. He can't be left alone really, so our sit down at the desk time is usually while Ashton is napping.
